Portal?

It could be right? A portal to FEEL GOOD RELAXATION ;-)
This is the kind of spot that you don't get to if you are a visiting tourist.
A tiny, hidden, public walkway nestled in between 20 million dollar beach front homes.

I did not eat much this weekend. So thought I share a few local pictures with you.
The famous Naples pier.......from a distance ;-)

Wow... I really really dislike you at the moment. Want to see some pictures of our locale at the moment? We had some dust storms over the weekend. That is as nice as the beach right?

Btw... I don't really dislike you... I just miss the meach :-(

SOG,
LOL!!!!!
During this time of the year....all my friends up in the North East don't just dislike me...they hate me ;-)

Took my kids to the beach yesterday (where I snapped that pic)and we played football and soccer for about 90 minutes. It is REAL nice to be able to do that. I'm blessed.
Hey, maybe that "trade show/get together with all the bloggers can be here in Naples next year!!!

Marc,

You are killing me. That photo really brings out the soul of the beach. I can smell and sense the way I would feel if I was walking through "the portal".

I have never been to Naples, but it looks like paradise. I'm in need of a trip. I love Seattle, but we dream about places like where you live this time of year. Incredible recipes by the way. That pork roast looks especially delicious. I just started getting into pork after seeing Anthony Bordain eat it so often on the Travel Channel ("No Reservations" is my favorite show).

Keep up the good work on the site!

Rusty,

Thank you so much for leaving a comment. It means a lot!
I've been a long time reader of your site, thanks to Mike OD that introduced me to it.

Yes, Naples is paradise. I left the big city and the cold (NYC) 8 years ago. I always say "this tropical life style I decided to live is not for everyone....but it's everything for me" ;-)
I'm not retired (yet), so when you're not working, to be able to go to the beach or play outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings is just unbelievable.
Naples is unlike any other part of Florida. Trust me. And if you want to take a trip, let me know, i'll happily show you around!!

As to Anthony Bourdain, I'm an addcit myself. LOVE his show.
I do also enjoy Andrew Zimmer.
Thanks again and I'm serious about showing you around. I told Mark Sisson the same thing. Malibu is nice....but Naples isn't too shabby ;-)

That goes for everyone by the way. come visit Naples....I might even cook for you. ;-)
