Breakfast

I feel like it's been forever since my last post. I really miss sharing posts and pictures with all of you. Strange........ it's like I haven't talked to my friends in a while.
I just want to say THANK YOU again, to all of you for reading the blog and taking the time to leave comments. I've added an email link, so if you ever have questions or would like to see certain recipes/ideas or feedback, drop me an email.
A simple but satisfying breakfast;

Two strips of bacon, blackberries, watermelon, two (left-over) grilled drum sticks and few small slices of raw cheddar goat cheese.

In the other pics, I'm proudly sporting Mark Sisson's primal t-shirt.

GROK ON everyone and GET PRIMAL.

(disclaimer; my daughter talked me in to the wet t-shirt pic lol)

Nice shirt, but I can't justify the cost. $19.95 + $5.00 shipping??? I'll save it and buy some grass-fed beef.

Been enjoying Mark's The Primal Blueprint book.

Good to see you back Marc.

Mark,

Mark Sisson was nice enough to send me a free shirt a few weeks ago.
After years of buying the vitamins...I guess that's only fair right ;-)

I have not gotten the book yet...
Lot's of good stuff in there?

Feels good to be back!!!

Which vitamins do you get? I've been tempted but they are so pricey....

Book is good - I've read some things I didn't know. He doesn't always footnote stuff (studies, facts, etc) though so I take it all with a grain of salt. Well written as I expected - conversational. It is different in feel and presentation that I suspect we'll see if Dr. DeVany ever finishes his book.

Mark,

I get the Damage control masters formula.
I agree with you, it is pricey!!
But I can tell you that they are worth EVERY pretty penny. You can feel it! Lot's of talk about whether supplements are even necessary......I take Devany's lead on this issue. He believes in them strongly and has been taken Sisson's for a while.

When Devany's book comes out....I'll probably have to go back to school to be able to understand it all ;-)

Wow. SoG said the same thing about the master formula.

Maybe I will try a 1 month supply if I can get my wife to stop laughing when I ask...

Awesome breakfast. This blog is key so people understand how simple and delicious eating right can be. Great job.

I really like the barefoot tree climbing and wet T shirt. Very glad to have you back posting.

Also, sorry to hear about the latest tourney results. Better luck next time.

I got my Primal Blueprint in the mail today. Grok on!

Mark,
The wife thinks it's too expensive or doesn't believe in vitamins?
How about a birthday present for you?

Jeff,
Thanks man! Let me know what you think about the book.

1500+ (assuming you take them everyday and you do the autoship) a year for vitamins seems high to me and I am positive she'd think the same. I am not sure it's a prudent use of money.

Are you absolutely convinced they make a difference? Any hard evidence?

At times I think vitamins help, other times I am not so sure. I consistently take D, and fishoil. Everything else (multivitamins, K, coq10) I take randomly.

Lately I am beginning to wonder if I feel better when I am getting my multi - it might make a difference but there are so many variables, how do you really know? When it's only $20 it's not a big deal.

Mark,
Ready for a shocker????!!!!
My girlfriend and I both get them.
so that's almost 3,000 for the year!!!!! Holy sh.. right?
So to start answering your question...
Hard evidence?? Can't give it to you. I do know that I feel it, when I don't take them. I used to take all sorts of vities...but these are the only ones were I really feel a difference.
Prudent use of money....
I guess it's all relative right?
As an example, I live in a vacation destination, so I don't spend huge dollars going on vacations.
Or for example;
think about how many eggs you eat.
At Costco you can buy 2 18 egg cartons for $2.50.
Would you ever eat those eggs? not me, I know you don't either.
We like to buy eggs that might cost $5 a dozen.
Mark, I don't no what the right answer is on this one. It's like an indulgence I guess. Some people spend $3000 or more a year on building their wine collection or new stereo equipment....I choose the vitamins...for now ;-)
Make some sense?

Your daughter is smart -the tree climbing and wet t-shirt contest pics are very nice. If you've got it flaunt it, right? :) I'm sure all of us girls enjoy them!
Have a great day!
